The mixing is not finished on any of these songs and some haven't been mixed at all (except for a rough listening mix)
The next band recording sessions are scheduled for september with Warde and Tim going into the studio before then to do some more guitar and redo vocals on "Little Secrets". We will also finish mixing these 6 songs.
The other players on this album were such a pleasure to work with. Pete Lawler's played bass and his backing vocals add great depth to the tracks - we have no intention of tucking these into the mix. We want them to be heard.
He then revealled, from his bag of tricks, his harmonica playing - which was perfect for "Most Things Lose Their Shine"
Mel's cello work is exceptional and it was a bonus to have her singing on "Where has all the Love Gone".
Piet Collins played drums and did so with great taste and feel. The dynamics of the songs were acheived through the performance not in the mixing!
